  - Carmel McArthur (Executive Secretary) was awarded the Best Employee - Administration award at a gala dinner at Conrad Jupiters Gold Coast. Tuesday 30 October 2001.
   
• Pride of Workmanship 2001 Awards:
  - Virginia Gow (Sales & Marketing) & Francis Fonseka (Stewarding) won these awards at a dinner held at the Cairns Convention Centre. The awards are annually by Rotary Cairns. Wednesday 17 October 2001.
   
• 2001 Continental Spirits National Cocktail Challenge:
  - Winner of the National title, held at Airlie Beach. Team now comprising Manual David, Samantha Oliver and Team Manager, Dean Facchinei. Monday 8 October 2001. 
   
• 2001 Continental Liqueurs Cocktail Challenge:
  - Winners for Queensland, held at Stamford Plaza in Brisbane. Team comprising Amy Nelson, Samantha Oliver and Team Manager, Dean Facchinei. Monday 10 September 2001. 
   
• 2001 Queensland Restaurant & Caterer’s Award for Best Specialty Restaurant:
  - Yamagen Restaurant was announced as the State Winner in this category, which is open to all members specialising in a specific type of cuisine, e.g. Chinese, Greek, Italian, etc. Monday 27 August 2001.
   
• 2001 Continental Liqueurs Cocktail Challenge:
  - Winners for Tropical North Queensland and the overall series, comprising 3 mix-offs. Team comprising Amy Nelson, Samantha Oliver and Team Manager, Dean Facchinei. Thursday 16 August 2001.
  
• 2001 Restaurant & Catering FNQ Branch Restaurant Awards for Excellence:
  - Winner of the Specialty - Cuisine Restaurant award, Yamagen Restaurant. Winner of the Restaurant of the Year, Yamagen Restaurant. Sofitel Reef Casino Hotel Monday 25 June 2001.
   
• 2001 Tropical North Queensland Tourism Awards:
  - Winner Accommodation 5-Star. Winner Industry Training, Private Sector. Cairns Convention Centre Saturday 23 June 2001.
